2011年11月17日14时，南京气象局官方微博“南京气象”在其气象预报中出现了“PM2．5细微颗粒物浓度”数值，该条“特殊”微博立刻被南京市政府的官方微博“南京发布”所转载。

On november 17, 2:00 PM, the micro blog 'Nanjing Weather' of Nanjing Weather Bureau official issued a meteorological forecast value called 'PM2.5 ultrafine particle concentration'. Then, this 'special' micro blog was immediately reprinted by micro blog 'Nanjing Issue ' of Nanjing Municipal Government. Such value is the first time that appears on the official government platform, attracted a lot of attention from netizen and reprinted a lot by them. Some netizen even considered it as a 'Special significance'. However, that micro blog was only kept for hours in the 'Nanjing Weather' before it was deleted, and the official micro blog explained that it was just a 'mistake'. To this, a people in charge of Nanjing Meteorological observatory maintained that they have no authority to publish the PM2.5 concentration data and so is on the micro blog. Because of this, they treated it in time and deleted the micro blog quickly, and also give some people certain punishment for his/her mistake. An expert of meteorological department said, 'we only focus on the effects of wind, rain and other natural meteorological conditions to gray haze. When refers to PM2.5 concentrations, it is only used for monitoring as scientific research datas. At the same time, Nanjing Environmental Protection Department kept silence on this event. Why reporting the PM2.5 in China is such sensitive?
