This article examines the impact of Karl Popper and Thomas Kuhn＇s philosophies of science in the communities of philosophy of science, natural sciences, and arts and social sciences. The situational analysis has recourse to the characteristics of their works, their social ties and personalities, and social context, to explain their influences. This paper actually catches hold of the social construction factor in the history of thought, which should widely act upon a variety of disciplines.
