The article puts forward the basic concept of soft environment in city plan and introduces the significance of soft environment plan in urban renewal.It analyzes how to achieve the scientific interaction between plan of soft environment and design of physical space in urban renewal for conservation of the valuable local culture,historic humaneness and traditional industries by example of the renewal of Keyuan historic area.
