This paper discusses the ways to realize the ecological civilization.It is pointed out that the realization of the ecological civilization calls for regulating the current economic system and management tool.And the economic thought in Jeffersonian socialism of Henry George is more beneficial to the realization of ecological civilization than any economic system based on the large-scale management with the top-down approach.It is suggested to experiment and innovate the construction of ecological civilization in China.
