多年来，许多科技工作者都时汉字识别这一研究领域产生了极大的兴趣，并发表了大量的有关该研究领域的研究报告和文献，针对脱机手写体汉字识别的预处理工作，重点讨论了图像二值化和字符分割，提出图像二值化的改进算法和简单粘连字符分割的算法、经过实验，在预处理工作中得到了较满意的结果．

The recognition of chinese characters has been an area of great interest for many years and alarge number of reserch works and reports have ben published Image binarization and segmentationand segmentation are discussed thispaper. An algorithm of image binarization and an algorithmof ofsimple connected character segmentation are put forward. Through experiments, these algorithmsget satisfied result in preprocessing work.
