Study on PON Communication Technique in the Environment of Smart Grid

摘要 针对正在建设的智能电网环境下的无源光网络(passive optical network,PON)通信技术进行分类讨论,分析了波分复用光纤网络(wavelength division multiplexing-passive optical network,WDH-PON)与正交频分复用光纤网络(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing-PON,OFDM-PON)各自的特点及优势,指出OFDM-PON技术更具优越性,并认为在智能电网环境下OFDM-PON技术将得到广泛的应用。 In view of passive optical network (PON) communication technique in the environment of smart grid under construction, the paper respectively discusses characteristics and merits of wavelength division multiplexing-passive optical network (WDM-PON) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing-PON (OFDM-PON) and it points out that OFDM-PON is more advantageous and believes that OFDM-PON will be further extended in the environment of smart grid.
