As an outstanding statesman in the 20th century, Deng Xiaoping pointed out the advancing direction of Chinese socialism just at the critical historical point where China should go. He bravely explored a new road of socialism with Chinese characteristics in practice. Having scientifically summarized the practical experience, Deng Xiaoping established the new theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and thereby laid a foundation of its theoretical system.
