Based on literary anthropology and primitivism,this paper illustrates the profound thoughts and rich connotations of Hurston＇s ＂Their Eyes Were Watching God＂.It is argued that the primitivism regarding morality,society,nature and culture is the author＇s search of human nature through the reassessment of the primitive ＂others＂.
