摘要
本文旨在探究商务英语学科建设中的教师能力要素问题。研究对国内具有代表性的13所高校商务英语学生和教师以及从事与商务英语相关工作的公司职员开展了问卷调查,进而开展了定量研究。研究结果表明:商务英语教师具有其独特的能力要素;商务英语教师的能力素质要求除了需要提高教师个人的专业素质外,更要加强商务英语教师团队素质结构的复合型建设。文章最后简要阐述了本研究的局限性和未来研究的方向。
This paper is intended to make an enquiry into the factors that are essential to business English teacher competence in the development of business English as a discipline. Based on a questionnaire survey and through a quantitative research, the study investigates business English students and faculty members in 13 Chinese universi- ties, as well as some business English-related employees. The study results reveal that business English teacher competence is composed of a number of unique factors. It comes to the conclusion that it is more important to build a multi-competence team of business English teachers while individual teachers' professional quality is being enhanced. Finally, the paper discusses the limitations of the study and directions for future research.
