从乡村文化的角度出发,通过研究《德伯家的苔丝》呈现的乡村特色及传统文化氛围,探讨影响苔丝多舛命运的成因,并通过解析乡村文化对苔丝及其悲剧命运的影响,说明苔丝所表现的纯洁善良、勤劳勇敢、豪迈率直的性格、以及对幸福的不懈追求、为家人的牺牲精神乃至其宿命论思想和传统道德观念,无不受到乡村文化的极大影响,是乡村文化促成了苔丝的性格特点和酿成了她的悲剧命运。

From the point of rural culture this paper explores the main reasons of the tragedy in depth by studying the characteristics of rural life and the atmosphere of traditional culture. And by interpreting the influence of rural culture on Tess and her tragic fate, this paper holds that the characters of purity, kindness, industry, bravery, boldness and integrity performed by Tess, as well as the unremitting pursuit for happiness, the spirit of sacrifice for family, fatalistic thinking and traditional morality are all subject to the great impact of the rural culture, which eventually led to the tragedy of Tess.
