2008年底以来,中国海军先后派出10批舰艇编队赴亚丁湾、索马里海域遂行护航任务,展示了我国负责任大国形象和我军和平文明之师的良好形象,锻炼并检验了海军履行远海非战争军事行动使命任务的能力。良好的情报支援是亚丁湾护航行动顺利实施的先决条件,情报支援能力的高低直接影响亚丁湾护航的成败。文中从准确定位情报支援任务、综合运用多种情报侦察手段、加强以情报信息系统为核心的装备建设、深化多边情报交流与合作等方面就做好亚丁湾护航情报支援工作进行了探讨,旨在提高亚丁湾护航行动中的情报支援能力。

Since the end of 2008, the PLA Navy has sent ten convoy fleets to carry out the escort missions in the Gulf of Aden and the waters far off Somalids eastern coast,which shows China＇s self-image as a responsible great power and the PLA＇s as a peace-loving and civilized force. Moreover, countering piracy has tested and improved the Navyrs competence of fulfilling the missions of military operations other than war （MOOTW） overseas. Intelligence support to the operations in countering piracy off the Somali coast is as extremely vital as in other kinds of military operations. With the purpose of ons in countering the Somali pirates, the different kind of reconnaissance construction of intelligence architecture and carry out the multilevel intelligence cooperation among the countries.
