Incidents by Harriet Jacobs challenges the ethical norms of morality and cultural value by breaking through the narrative ethically. Not relying on the exposition of the bloody incidents, on the linguistic skills and narrative strategies, nor on specific body descriptions and simple ethic evaluation and historical and factual truths, the writer tends to her personal life experiences, the detailed, chaotic ordinary life, using narration to raise ethic problems, and narrative ethics to shield her personal life, which nevertheless displaying the flying and liberating of the soul.
