The study of minority nationalities historiography, which has a long history in China, has been one of the important branches of Chinese historiography.Since the Peoples Republic of China was established,the investigation of Marxist minority nationalities historiography has developed for two steps:the beginning and development,and have made outstanding progresses in the fields of general and monographic study.For minority nationalities historiography, the theoretical study is of promient realistic significance. It reflected several positive tendencies, such as the constantly strengthened consciousness of the study, and the deeper explored idea of minority nationalities history and so on. All of them indicate the broad prospects of the study of minority nationalities historiography.
