Region of interest extraction technology plays an important role in the field of image analysis. This paper discusses the current techniques for detecting region of interest and making the evaluation of the result. Experimental results make a summary about the advantages and disadvantages of ROI detecting techniques. It provides an experimental basis for the user to select the appropriate region of interest extraction method, which provides experimental data.
