As a pathfinding comprehensive experimental zone of the western side of the Taiwan Straits, Pingtan plays a very important role in cross-strait exchanges and cooperation due to its unique resources of tourism and ecological environment. Under the background of constructing the strait west, shaping Pingtan tourism brand and creating the frontier of the strait west tourism by taking tourism as the medium is of great significance to achieve sustainable development of Pingtan tourism and promote the cross-straits exchanges.
