The "Truth-seeking-Utility-attaining" Model of Continuum of Evaluation Towards Translator Behavior

译者行为研究是对译者借翻译活动参与社会的社会化过程(角色化)的研究,译者的角色化之于译文上的表现需要通过构建评价模式加以描写和解释,而"求真-务实"译者行为连续统评价模式便是在这一背景下具体化的产物。该评价模式与译者行为的研究和评价涉及一些概念,廓清其中容易混淆的一些概念,如"求真"、"忠实"和"求真-务实"、"忠实"和"忠实度(性)"、"可译性"和"不可译性"、"忠实"、"忠诚"和"原文"、"原意"等,纠正传统认识上的一些偏颇,有益于该评价模式的不断完善。

The essence of the study on translator behavior is that of translator＇s changing roles in the socialization （role playing） of translation.A translator＇s role playing,as is shown in translations,stipulates an Evaluation Model to facilitate description and interpretation.Therefore,the ＂Truth-seeking-Utility-attaining＂ Model of Continuum of Evaluation Towards Translator Behavior has been constructed.The study involves a number of easily confusing concepts,like truth-seeking,faithfulness,truth-seeking-utility-attaining,degree of faithfulness,translatability,untranslatability,source text,original meaning,which will be clarified so as to correct some traditional wrong understandings and perfect the evaluation model.
