摘要作为一座"沟通东西方文明的人桥",赛珍珠通过各种形式传递着她企盼中西文化交融的美好愿望,对异族婚恋的理解与支持即是赛珍珠对此的一大主张。小说《同胞》涵盖了多对情侣的婚恋故事,既有美国小伙与中国女子的异族婚恋,也有受到西方教育的留学生与传统的中国女子的"异族"婚恋。赛珍珠在这部中后期小说中反映出了渐趋成熟的异族婚恋观。 As a ＂bridge between the civilizations of the East and the West＂,Pearl S.Buck expresses her wishes of a cultural exchange between the East and the West by all means,an example of such exchange being ＂interracial＂ love and marriage,which she not only understood,but supported as well.In her novel Kinfolk, love stories of several couples are told,like the interracial love and marriage between an American youth and a Chinese girl,that between a returned Chinese intellectual from abroad,＂a cultural foreigner＂,and a traditional Chinese girl.This later novel reflects Pearl S.Buck＇s maturing views of ＂interracial＂ love and marriage.
