个性理论是马克思主义人学思想的主要内容之一。促进人的个性自由而全面地发展,既是时代发展的要求,又是人类永恒的价值追求,而个性现代化是当代人的自由个性得以最终实现的阶段性现实目标。促进人的个性发展的现实意义在于培养创新型人才,以推动社会进步,最终实现人的个性自由而全面地发展。当代中国人正面临知识经济和全球化不断发展的历史机遇,却又显示出个性发展乏力的一面。

The theory of Personality is one of the main contents of Marxist human thought. The free and full development of individual＇s personality is not only the requirement of the time, but the eternal pursuit of human values. What＇s more, the modernization of personality is to realize the phases of realistic objectives to free individuality of modern people. So the realistic significance of promoting personality development lies in cultivating innovative talents, to promote social progress, finally realizes the free and full personality development. Although faced with the golden opportunity of development, contemporary Chinese show the weakness if individuality.
