摘要
《牛津大学英语词典》基于原型理论,采用了新型的"原型义项排列法",突显核心意义,使次要意义与核心意义形成链状辐射结构,十分有益于外语学习者的多义词语义习得,可以在一定程度上弥补当今主流英语学习词典义项编排的缺陷,为学习词典的义项排列提供一个新视角。
Based on the prototype theory, "Oxford American College Dictionary adopts prototypleat sense ordering", a new ordering method by which core senses are listed by their sub-senses in chains. This new or- dering method is greatly beneficial to foreign language learners' polysemy acquisition, and to a certain extent it makes up for the deficiency of the sense arrangement in today's major English learner's dictionaries. Thus it provides a new perspective of the sense ordering in learner's dictionaries.
