摘要
文章运用定性分析的方法,通过词汇测试、行为观察、问卷调查和个人访谈等方法,调查了非英语专业大学生的英语词汇学习观念现状及其对他们的英语词汇能力的影响。对优生和后进生在英语词汇学习观念上所表现出来的种种差异进行了比较分析,进而发现词汇学得和习得对学生词汇状况的影响。本项研究为英语教师有效影响和指导学生提高英语词汇学习提供依据和帮助。
This paper focuses on the qualitative study of the status quo of non-English major EFL students' learning beliefs on English vocabulary. Through data gathered from interviews, classroom observations, questionnaires and vocabulary tests, this study looks into the factors that influence students' vocabulary ability. Contrasts between the excellent learners and the underachievers show that the different beliefs on mechanical vocabulary learning and natural vocabulary acquisition become the watershed to students' vocabulary achievements. This study endeavors to throw light on teachers' instructions to students' English vocabulary learning.
