PS/MMT复合材料的结构与燃烧性能

摘要 将聚苯乙烯(PS)树脂与不同种类蒙脱土(MMT)进行熔融复合制备PS/MMT复合材料,通过X射线衍射(XRD)和高分辨透射电子显微镜(TEM)对复合材料的结构进行分析,采用氧指数法和锥形量热法研究复合材料的燃烧性能。结果表明:用有机蒙脱土(OMMT)制备的PS/OMMT复合材料,是一种插层型复合材料,而用蒙脱土原土(NaMMT)制备的PS/NaMMT复合材料,是一种简单物理混合物;OMMT与NaMMT用量相同时,PS/OMMT复合材料的氧指数大于PS/NaMMT复合材料的,其热释放速率、质量损失速率小于PS/NaMMT复合材料的,材料的阻燃性能显著改善;复合材料的阻燃机理均为凝聚相阻燃,PS/OMMT的阻燃性能得到提高,而PS/NaMMT的阻燃性能较差。 Polystyrene/montmorillonite (PS/MMT) composites were prepared by melt-com- pounding PS and different kinds of MMT. The structure of the composites were analyzed by XRD and high resolution TEM. Oxygen index and cone calorimetry were employed to investi- gate the fire performance of the composites. The results show that PS/OMMT composite is an intercalated composite, while PS/NaMMT composite is a simple physical blend of PS and NaMMT. The oxygen indexes of PS/OMMT composites are all larger than those of PS/ NaMMT counterparts, their heat release rates and mass loss rates are all lower than those of PS/NaMMT counterparts at the same loadings. The flame retardancy of the former is better than that of the latter. The flame retardant mechanism is condensed phase flame retardation. The flame retardance of PS/OMMT composite is improved. PS/NaMMT composite exhibits very poor flame retardancy.
