The Internet is subject to increasingly strengthening regulation. The union between power and capital is changing its current architecture. It is reasonable to put the Internet under regulation of a certain extent, but such regulation becomes harmful when it goes beyond the bottom line of fundamental human rights and freedom. Danger not only exists in the Internet itself, but also in a lack of awareness of its potential infringement of freedom and democracy, or a trend to submissively surrender the freedom to others. Here, the biased or insular science education serves as an accomplice. This paper demonstrates the hazard of such ignorance and the parochial science education by means of two cases, viewing from philosophy of scientific practices.
