民办高校发展面临的“高原现象”探析——以陕西民办普通高校为例

On the Plateau Phenomena of Private Colleges——A Case Study on Private Colleges of Shaanxi

我国民办高校的发展正处于举步维艰的"高原期"。这种现象具体表现为生源急剧萎缩、财力日趋拮据、教育质量迟滞不前、社会声誉提升缓慢等"症状"。社会环境变迁、制度政策缺陷和民办高校自觉自律性不强是导致这种状况产生的主要原因。民办高校欲走出"高原现象",必须完善制度设计,加强财政资助,提高科学管理水平,端正办学动机,强化公益与质量意识,以内涵扩充赢得发展。

The development of private colleges in China has reached the plateau phase,which is indicated as rapid decrease of student recruitment,finance constraint,inferior educational quality,limited reputation promotion.Social environment transition,deficiency of institutions and policies,and lack of self-regulation are the main causes to such plight.In order to help private colleges out of the plateau phenomena,social system should be perfected so as to provide a favorable environment;policy on financial appropriation should be emphasized;the inner governance structure should be ameliorated in order to enhance the management level;motivation and philosophy of school-running should be corrected,the public property and quality awareness should be intensified,for the purpose of winning the development by expanding connotation.
