Privately-run,Not Privately-owned:On the Internal Power of the Private University in the Early Republic of China

中国现代意义的私立大学出现在20世纪初期,由于"最初办大学的人有现代的眼光",一开办就直接与现代教育接轨,故具有很高的起点。以南开大学为例,在20世纪20年代前后军阀政治与政党政治交替之际,私立大学内部职权与政府、学术、市场之间存在多重互动的复杂关系:在影响私立大学内部职权系统的各种权力因素中,学术权力影响最大,市场权力次之,政府权力的影响则相对要小得多。

Modern private universities of China occurred in the 1910s,these universities had a very high starting point because the founders began directly into line with the modern educational standards with modern perspective.Taking Nankai University as an example,it explores the complex interaction relationships of the internal power of the private university with the government,academic and market on the occasion of warlord politics and party politics alternating in the 1920s.Among all the influence factors of the internal power of the private university in the Early Republic of China,academic power is the most important one,market power is the second,and the impact of government power is relatively much smaller.
