埃姆斯住宅作为二战后美国加利福尼亚现代主义住宅的代表性案例之一,探索了工业化技术与住宅的结合及其形式表达。设计者埃姆斯夫妇将自己在工业设计、影像与平面设计中的经验应用到建筑中,融入个人生活,创作出具有埃姆斯经典风格的住宅。
As a representative case of California modernism after Second World War,Eames House is focused on using industrial technology in housing and the possible form.On experience of their industry design,graphic design and film making,Charles and Ray Eames created an unique prefabricated house with Eames characters,which is especially interrelated with their personal life.
