Through interviewing professionals with different backgrounds and years of experience in student housing affairs,this article discusses trends in student housing in the next twenty years of the United States.In future universities,student housing is not only a living place,but also a learning place,a living/learning environment integrating virtual and physical spaces.From construction to management and operation of student housing,it is designed as an effective educational tool to teach environment awareness and sustainable living style.Student housing as auxiliary enterprise and the collaboration with private developers will provide students with more diverse services.
