Requirements for information workers are discussed from their background kno wledge,curiosity and the art of information selection and utilization.Background knowledge is the guarantee for information workers’ skills and also the base of information collection and analysis.Curiosity is the starting point of the training of information workers,its role in information collection is discussed.Finally,the art of information selection and utilization are analyzed in detail.
