This paper discusses the great potiential of cooperative computing on the Internet by providing several interesting cooperative computing projects on the Internet. We believe that as long as the main obstacles which hinder cooperative computing on the Internet are removed, full exploitation of this great potential can surely be realized, and many scientific and engineering areas can obtain enormous benifit from it.
