首先感谢李政道教授、中国科学院和国家自然科学基金委员会邀请我和夫人来中国访问。这是我第三次访问中国。我的夫人是第一次。在这一两天内,我已感到了中国的巨大变化,照这样发展下去,中国的前途无量。刚才政道说,每年授予诺贝尔奖金时,会引起人们很大的反响。
