当代中国文坛与外国文学经典的联系,几乎不逊于与自身文化传统之间的关联。外国文学经典为当代中国作家提供了另外的观察向度、文学标准和技法尺度;对经典作家的反复阅读成为他们寻求精神呼应、眺望文学星空的重要方式。经典译文给当代作家丰富的语言滋养,他们在对经典译文的主动学习中打磨、发展现代汉语。与此同时,如何创造性转化对经典的阅读经验,进而超越经典,亦成为当代中国文坛的焦虑之一。

Contemporary Chinese literary circles＇ connection with foreign classics is not any less than its connection with its own cultural tradition. Foreign literature classics provide alternative observation dimension, literature standards and art skills for contemporary Chinese writers; repeated reading of classic masterpieces is an important way for them to search spiritual response and lookout the sky of literature. The translated texts of classics give rich nutrition to contemporary writers, who have polished and developed modem Chinese through active learning. At the same time, the question of how to innovatively transform the reading experiences of classics and then surpass the classics has become an anxiety of contemporary Chinese literary circle.
