摘要
许多大学英语教师深谙礼貌策略在课堂教学中的重要性,并且努力寻求如何合理运用礼貌策略来创造和谐友好的课堂气氛。基于Brown&Levinson的礼貌理论对一些优秀大学英语教师的课堂用语进行研究,分析他们是如何运用不同礼貌策略来减轻面子威胁,满足学生面子需求的。研究表明恰当运用礼貌策略有助于实现既定教学目标。
Being aware of the important role of politeness strategies in classroom teaching,many college English teachers seek to adopt them properly to create a harmonious and friendly atmosphere.Based on Brown and Levinson's Politeness Theory,this thesis aims to study in what way some excellent English teachers manage to soften the face threatening acts and satisfy students' face want by using different politeness strategies.The study shows that proper application of politeness strategies helps to achieve the desired teaching goals.
