Achievements, problems and prospects of China paper industry in the ten years after joining WTO

回顾过去,加入WTO初期,"狼来了"的声音依然在耳旁回荡。但10年走过,我们可喜地看到,中国纸业非但没有垮掉,反而抓住了WTO带来的10年黄金的发展时间,与狼共舞,实现了跨越式发展,并给本已暮气沉沉的世界纸业带来了又一轮新发展。而现在,中国纸业真正走出的10年才刚刚开始。

It has been 10 years since China joined World Trade Organization (WTO) on Dec. 11th, 2001. It is the ten years for China paper industry to develop in foreign trade by strides, to develop together with the world paper industry by taking part in the global progress, absorbing foreign investment increasingly, and obviously speeding up the pace of foreign economic cooperation, and it is also the ten years to make the great achievements in developing by itself. China paper industry captured the great opportunity brought by WTO, and realized to develop by strides, and brought another round of new development for world paper industry. In the future, China paper industry will continue to execute the mutual beneficial and win-win open strategy to further upgrade the level of opening up, improve the scale and quality in foreign investment and quicken the pace of 'going out' for China paper industry.
