This paper introduces the snagging resistance testing of knitted fabric by using the Mace test method including testing principle, instrument inspection, experimental procedures and evaluation standards. The concrete samples’ testing results show that in addition to the evaluation levels, the evaluation results should still include whether there is fabric deformation and protruding or not; when testing the width-wise snagging, testing should be made to both the knitting direction and reverse knitting direction; and attention should be paid to the size of sewed sample and the quality of snagging needle. Generally speaking, snagging resistance can be improved through selection of high twist yarn, high fabric density and short loop or through applying resin finishing technology.
