Enlightenment is the Essence of Learning

从事学术研究,首先应该懂得如何深入地解读原始文本,读出自己的感觉和问题,学会与历史巨人直接进行文化对话。这是一项治学的基本功,非常要紧。要把学问做大、做出彩,就必须为学术运思准备足够的精神空间的深广度。学术的进展,往往与反思有关。对于前代的学术传统,或者当下的学术空气,要考察其潜流,分析其优劣利弊,心中有数地开拓自己的学术方向、角度和空间。学术反思是学术起步的助推器。应该认识到,于此是否开窍,与研究者对学术本质的认识密切相关。灵窍一开,创新涌来,就可以开拓新的学术境界。

When we are engaged in academic research,the top priority is to understand how to unscramble the original text deeply and read out the feelings and questions of your own.At the same time,we are able to have a cultural dialogue with History directly.This is a very important basic skill to pursue our studies.In order to go deep into the scholarship learning and enable it to become more wonderful,it is necessary to prepare a space for spirit,which is deep and wide enough for training our mind on learning.The development of learning is often related to reflection.For the former intellectual tradition or the current academic atmosphere,we have to investigate the hidden theory and analyze both the advantages and disadvantages.Only in this way can we expand our own learning direction,angle,and space confidently.Scholarly reassessment is a booster to propel the beginning of learning.As a result,enlightenment is closely related to the researcher＇s understanding about the nature of learning.Chuang Tzu claims ＂one＇s mind needs to be glorious and roams in joy.＂ By the time when we are enlightened and the creative thoughts appear like gushing spring water,we can expand the new realm of learning.
