摘要
自20世纪60年代以来,美国学术界的性别歧视也与其他社会领域中的性别歧视一样,在强大女权运动的冲击下,已有所减少,但并未灭绝,仍然存在于大学的教学、科研和服务等方面,只不过有时变得更加隐蔽而已。学术界存在的对妇女的歧视已被女权主义者和许多有识之士所认识和重视。与此同时,他们已开始推动有关部门和机构,尤其大学的院和系两级,采取相应政策和措施,如为女青年教师配备指导教师以及坚决改变大学歧视妇女的机构文化等。
Since 1960s,gender discrimination in American academia,with the impact of the strong feminist movements,has decreased like that in other social fields.But gender discrimination did not extinct;it still existed in the teaching,research in universities,service and so on,which only turned to be more covert.Discrimination against women in academia has been recognized and paid great attention by the feminists and people of vision who have started to promote related sectors and institutions,especially two levels of college and department in university to take corresponding policies and measures,such as providing supervisors for young female teachers,changing the institutional culture that discriminates against women in universities,etc.
