A Preliminary Cytomorphological Study on Dominant Male Nucleus Sterility in Rice

萍乡雄性核不育水稻，是一种自然变异株，由于在小孢子形成过程中出现各种异赏现象，进入单核期很快以各种形式败育致死，能进入双核期败育的是极少数，未见到三核期败育的花粉粒。该材料属于典败型显性雄性不育水稻。

The Pingxiang male nucleus sterile rice was a natural variant plant owing to that various abnormal phenomena occured during the forma- tion of microspores, almost all of the pollen grains became abortive and died within a short time after they entered the mononucleate phase only a few of them could enter the binuoleate phase and then aborted.and there was no pollen grain which was aborted after entering the trinueleate phase. According to the abortion. characteristics as mentioned above this sterile material belongs to dominant male nucleus ste- rile rice of 'typical abortion' type.
