摘要
采用口笔语多维分析模式(MDA)定量和定性分析了中国英语学习者会话和议论文所呈现的语体特点,研究发现:(1)在语体模式上,中国英语学习者口笔语因子得分均在0附近,无明显的语体倾向;(2)从口语体特征使用数量上看,仅有6个特征既符合口笔语语篇特征又呈显著差异,而绝大部分特征的使用则语体混乱或模糊;(3)从口语体特征使用类型看,学习者过度依赖少数几个较早习得的简单语言特征或是一些和汉语用法及意义接近的高频词;(4)在笔语体特征的使用上,学习者口笔语中出现的频数均存在显著差异,表明他们能够较好区分其语体差异。
Based on Dimension one in MDA, the most distinguishable parameter between written and spoken English, the present study first quantitatively and qualitatively analyzes the register features of Chinese learners" conversation and argu- mentative writing. It then proceeds to compare the use of 23 spoken and 5 written features in their spoken and written lan- guage. The results show that (1) in terms of overall register mode, the factor scores of both learners' spoken and witten texts are zero, showing no distinctive register tendency; (2) in terms of the frequencies of spoken features, merely a few were used with register awareness, while most were significantly overused in written language or insignificantly used between spoken and written language; (3) in terms of diversity of those spoken features, learners excessively rely on a few simple high frequency features acquired earlier or directly translated from Chinese ; (4) in terms of the use of written fea- tures, all of them are used with register awareness.
