Advances in research on the clinical features and mechanism of EV71 infection

肠道病毒71型(EV71)感染引起手足口病∕疱疹性咽峡炎,有时会出现严重的中枢神经系统(CNS)感染,后者导致患儿死亡或留有长期的神经后遗症。EV71感染已成为世界公共健康的新威胁,但是由于对发病机制的认识有限,阻碍了临床诊治工作的发展。本文仅对EV71感染的临床特征和发病机制研究进展进行综述。

Enterovirus 71 infection generally causes hand,foot,and mouth disease（HFMD）/herpangina and sometimes causes central nervous system diseases that lead to death and long-term neurological sequelae in hundreds of thousands of young children.Although EV71 infection has become a new threat to global public health,limited knowledge of EV71 pathogenesis hinders efforts to clinically diagnose and treat the infection.Therefore,identification of its clinical characteristics and comprehensive understanding of its pathogenesis is vital.
