20世纪70年代以来澳大利亚华人政治认同问题分析

Analysis of Political Identification of Australian Chinese since 1970s

20世纪70年代以前的澳大利亚华人基本上没有参政意识,也就更不能形成政治认同了;70年代以后,随着中澳建交,"白澳政策"的废除,特别是华人自身知识素质和参政意识的提高,澳大利亚华人的政治认同也在逐步的加深。文章系统阐述了70年代后在澳华人政治认同变化的表现,力图对70年代前后在澳华人政治认同的变化做出有力的解释。

Australian Chinese did not have the awareness of participating political affairs and had no political identification before 1970s. After that with the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia and the abolishment of White Australia Policy, the new generation of Australian Chinese with improvement of education and their awareness of political participation, the political identification of Australian Chinese has increased. Political identification is a long process. This paper presents the change of political identification of Australian Chinese and tries to give some convincing explanation of the change.
