摘要
公示语是国际化都市及国际旅游目的地语言环境、人文环境的重要组成部分。公示语的翻译现状反映了一个城市或地区软环境的建设程度。公示语翻译正确与否将在某种程度上影响到一个城市的国际化形象。文章通过对宁波市区公示语翻译现状的调查分析,探讨了该市区英文公示语中存在的问题,分析了问题存在的根源,并提出了相关的对策。
Public sign is one important part of language and humanistic environments in international metropolis and destinations.Translation of public signs reflects the level of internationalization of soft environment construction of a city and a district.Whether the translations of public signs are correct or not will somewhat influence a city＇s international image.By analyzing English translation status of public signs in Ningbo city,this article is aimed to probe some problems which occur in the translation of public signs in Ningbo city,analyze the causes of these problems and come up with some solutions.
