摘要
对单跳Ad hoc网络环境下的能量节省机制展开研究。首先分析了IEEE802.11DCF中的能量节省机制PSM(power saving mechanism),并详细讲述了能量节省机制PSM在GloMoSim网络仿真环境中的实现方法,然后通过网络仿真,对PSM的性能进行了详细分析。仿真实验结果表明:相对于DCF协议,PSM在一定条件下可很好地减少网络的能量消耗,但该机制会降低网络的平均吞吐量和增加网络的端到端延迟。同时也可看出,信标间隔中的ATIM窗口的大小会严重影响网络的性能。
This paper firstly analyzes the power saving mechanism (PSM) in IEEE 802.11 DCF protocol, and detailedly explains the implementation ot power saving mecnamsm in GloMoSim. Then, the performance of power saving mechanism is evaluated in detail. The simulation results show that, under a certain condition, PSM can dramatically reduce energy consumption compared with the IEEE 802.11 DCF. However, this mechanism would degrade the network throughput and increase the end- to-end packet delay of network. Meanwhile, we also conclude that the performance of the network has been heavily influenced by the ATIM window period.
