摘要
Chen(1986)提出在天津话连读变调中存在着语言学理论难以描写和解释的难题,他把这一难题称为"天津话连读变调之谜"。本文将在笔者前期几项相关研究成果的基础上,就这个"谜"进一步展开讨论,具体阐释天津话连读变调之谜的确切含义,然后就近来有关天津话声调研究中存在的问题进行剖析,指出问题的症结,并阐明音系学理论分析应遵循的一些原则。
Chen (1986) argues that there exists a tonal phenomenon in Tianjin dialect that severely strains the descriptive and explanatory capacities of any current linguistic theory, and characterizes it as 'the paradox of Tianjin tone sandhi'. Based on Ma (2005a, 2005b), the present paper takes a closer look at the paradox, and points out the problems that have remained unsolved by the recent studies. Solutions to the problems are proposed.
