中共早期四川省委书记、成都特别支部书记刘愿庵曾被原国家副主席张澜和贺龙元帅誉为"巴蜀雄才"。刘愿庵早年具有较强的民生忧患意识,后与贺龙、恽代英结识后成长为一代无产阶级革命活动家。刘愿庵因党内异己分子出卖被捕,他狱中大义凛然,不屈不挠,表现了一个真正共产党人为了理想信念视死如归的人格精神。
