古阳平关考述

A Textual Research of the Ancient Yangpingguan Pass

古阳平关是三国时的重要关隘,也是著名的三国古战场。阳平与阳平关是既有联系、又不等同的两个地理概念。阳平是一个较为宽泛的地域,阳平关是阳平境内的一个点状部位,有构筑物、建筑物和四至边界。今人认定的古阳平关是根据北魏郦道元《水经注》记载而来的,在汉中勉县的老城或老城东关土城。文章认为《水经注》界定的阳平关位置与《三国志》记述的阳平关存在一定的差异,通过考察,确认三国鼎立前的阳平关就是张鲁城。

The ancient Yangpingguan Pass was not only an important pass but also a famous battlefield in the period of the Three Kingdoms. However, Yangping and Yangpingguan Pass are different in geographical concept. The former is a broader area, in which the latter lies with its structures, buildings and boundaries. Modern people, in accordance with Li Yuandao＇s records from Waterways in the Northern Wei Dynasty, believe that Yangpingguan Pass is located at Laocheng or Tucheng to the east of Laocheng in Mianxian County of Hanzhong area. This paper argues that there must be some differences between the locations of Yangpingguan Pass as defined in Waterways and in The History of the Three Kingdoms, and based upon the textual research, concludes that Yangpingguan Pass was Zhanglu City before the period of the Three Kingdoms.
