The energy-loss indexes were introduced into the benchmarking of the coal-fired power unit;and a concept of energy-loss benchmarking was proposed.The collection of operation values,the confirming of target values and the calculation method of the energy-loss under different operation parameters were expounded systematically.Combining with the example of energy-loss benchmarking of China Huadian Corporation,the advantages of the energy-loss benchmarking and the necessary functions of the energy-loss benchmarking system were illustrated.
