解读汉语连谓句英译策略的选择

Analysis of the Choice of the Chinese-English Translation Tactics in the Serial-predicate Construction

连谓句是由两个或两个以上的谓词性词语连用,连用的两部分构成一个整体,共同陈述一个主语。在意义上每个谓词都能与同一主语发生主谓关系,在内容上表达同一层意思,连谓句具有表意上的灵活性以及结构上的模糊性。文章在分析连谓句特征的基础上,结合语义和句法,通过列举大量例句,提出汉语连谓句的四种具体的翻译策略。

The serial-predicate construction is composed of two or more than two predicative words which are used together as a whole to express the same subject.Each predicate and the same subject form the subject-predicate relationship in the field of meaning and demonstrate the same idea in the field of content.The serial-predicate construction is characteristic of the flexibility in ideogram and the ambiguity in structure.This paper firstly analyses the features together with the semantics and the syntax by citing some sentences,then puts forward four Chinese-English translation tactics in the serial-predicate construction.
