郑英烈教授是武汉音乐学院作曲系教授,他在作曲技术理论教学和研究工作上做出了突出的贡献。2011年6月25日,武汉音乐学院作曲系和图书馆联合举办了"郑英烈教授八十华诞暨作曲技术理论学科建设研讨会"。座谈会在回顾郑英烈教授的成就的同时,也回顾了武汉音乐学院作曲系的历史传统和作曲技术理论成果。

Zheng Yinglie is a professor of Composition Department in Wuhan Conservatory of Music, and he has made an outstanding contribution to the teaching and researching of compositional technique and theory. That the Zheng Yinglie 80＇s Birthday and the Academic Seminar on Development of Composition Theory Discipline held by Composition Department and Library of Wuhan Conservatory of Music at WHCM on June 25, 2011. The participaring experts, scholars and guests recalled Professor Zheng Yinglie with his achievements both on the aspects of teaching and researching, and meanwhile it also reviewed the historical impart and inherit as well as the compositional technique and theorical results of the Composition Department in Wuhan Conservatory of Music.
