近指代词“兹”、“此”、“这”历时更替考

Review on the Diachronic Substitutions of the Near-demonstrating Pronoun Zi(兹),Ci(此) and Zhe(这)

考察汉语近指代词"兹"、"此"、"这"的历时更替过程后可以发现:春秋以前近指代词主要用"兹"来表达;西周开始,人们使用声近义通的"此"来代替"兹",春秋时期即完成了这一更替过程;唐代开始出现的"这",在宋代发展成熟,至迟在元代取代了"此"的主导地位并沿用至今。

Based on the study of the near-demonstrating pronoun in Chinese, we come to the conclusion that Zi （ 兹 ） , Ci （ 此 ）, and Zhe （ 这 ） have a relation of Diachronic Substitutions. Before Chun-qiu （春秋） Dynasty, the near-demonstrating pronoun was usually expressed by Zi （兹） ; in the Western Zhou（西周） Dynasty, Ci （此） emerged and substituted Zi （兹） in Chun-qiu （春秋） Dynasty. While in Yuan （元） Dynasty, the near-demonstrating pronoun was expressed by Zhe （这） which emerged in Tang （唐） Dynasty.
