A Poet as Translator——Review on Rexroth Studies

雷克斯罗斯是美国著名诗人翻译家,对中西文化交流作出了杰出的贡献,然而,囿于资料匮乏,国内对其研究从本世纪才缓缓起步。本文从翻译思想研究、汉诗英译评析、以及译本影响探讨等方面入手,对国内外关于雷克斯罗斯翻译方面的研究成果进行了梳理和总结,并对未来研究提出了建议。

As a well-known poet and translator in the USA, Kenneth Rexroth did a great job in culture exchange between east and west. However, research about Rexroth wasn＇t started until 21st century due to the lack of materials. This article mainly goes over research achievements about Kenneth Rexroth home and abroad from the perspective of translation principle study, critics on his translations of Chinese poetry and discussion about the influence of his translation, and gives some suggestions on future studies.
