A Brief Account of The Patriotic Tradition of BanChan System

班禅额尔德尼作为藏传佛教格鲁派的著名活佛之一,自该系统建立以来,不仅与历代中央政府保持着密切的联系,而且在抵御外国侵略,维护祖国统一,反对"藏独",促进藏区社会稳定等方面做出了积极的贡献。

BanChanEErDeNi as one of famous Living Buddhas of Tibetan Buddhism not only has kept close con- tact with the Central Government but also formed distinct patriotic tradition in the long -term practice since the system was founded. And he has made positive contribution in boycotting the foreign aggression, in safeguarding the unity of the motherland, in being against ＂free Tibet＂ and in promoting Tibetan social stabilization.
